Hey, we want you to! This is the official site for the Deer Meadows Property Owner’s Association. If you own property here then this is YOUR site. If you want to post here please send an e-mail to me, Bob Thornburgh, at kj5ik@msn.com. I will need your name and address or lot number. After I have verified through the Comal county property records, or other means though it may take longer, that you own your property you will be sent an invitation. Responding to it will give you the ability to post.
A few things:
- This site can be a little clunky. We’ll work it out over time or move. In the meantime please be patient.
- If the property records do not show you own your property, and there may be any number of reasons for this, you may have to show other proof such as a deed. I don’t want a copy of your personal records, I just want to see it to make sure you own property here. We can set that up, no biggie.
- At this time renters generally will not be allowed to post unless the board gets together and directs otherwise. This site is for property owners. Your lease may say otherwise, but that is a contract between you and the property owner and does not bind the Association in any way.
- Be civil. I hate censorship, so please don’t make me censor you. We all know in general what offensive or threatening language looks like. We’re neighbors, and we’re going to be neighbors for a very long time no matter what, so let’s just not go there, OK? Remember, the internet is forever for all intents and purposes. Somebody, somewhere, will have a screenshot of something you posted in the heat of the moment and later regretted.
- Like everyone else associated with DMPOA activities, I’m a volunteer. I do have a job so it may take a day or two for me to get back to you. Please be patient. I want to help you and make this site a great way for all of us to communicate with one another or I wouldn’t be doing this, but like you I do have bills to pay and other family commitments.
Now that all of that is out of the way, who wants to start?

Is there another opportunity to drop off dues? Unfortunately, missed the other opportunities in June. Had planned on bringing to the club house this evening, but saw this opportunity has now been cancelled.

The voting has been canceled. I’m not sure about the dues collection and pool card handout. No reason I can think of to cancel that, but you might give Pat a call to find out for sure. Check out the Contact tab.

Are there any plans to finish the sign at the entrance?
Could we possibly add another piece of wood, tastefully, below the sign to have as an announcement board?
Can someone volunteer to plant in the box and care for it?

My Name is Ty Teel, 565 Deer Run Pass. The next meeting is Oct 3, next Saturday. We will have Nominations and Elections for Officers. I will be running for the position of President. Ms Eddine for your 3 questions that you posted. Number 1: That is a good question. Number 2: Probably. Number 3: Probably, as well. It depends on who gets elected.

I want to say one thing. Yes Our little community is growing but we are losing the feel of that little community. We aren’t there for one another like we once were. In the past few years with all that happened to me after my husband passed ( I know most know ) I have had four neighbors Ty Teel being one came to help and few others offered to help during my trouble. Bob, and another neighbor who has moved was there. That is what our community needs more of like it had been in the past . Don’t get me wrong I am not helpless but that was a dark time for me and my family and then to deal with what I had to It was a blessing to know there were neighbors who cared. Mark Droan also has shown character as well recently . I know i am not active as I once was in the past but I am there if someone needs help . You want to raise the dues for what we have no more now then we did in thirty some years before when it was Thirty dollars . The few of us made it work . Neighbors took turn to mow the park didn’t pay or very little have a teenager who wants to make few dollars mow it. Take your own trash home when you are up there . Sorry I quite I am on a soap box . I just wanted comment on bigger not always better .

Not sure if anyone will see this but We just purchased a home in the neighborhood a few weeks ago. Today a brendal pit bull puppy, about 4-6 months old followed my husband and I home from a run on Deer Run Pass. Please reach out if you know who’s dog this is. 208-215-9875
