The following are the minutes of the last meeting held 8 FEB 20. Please keep in mind that these are not official until read and approved at the next quarterly meeting. I have posted them here just to keep everyone who couldn’t attend informed. If there are any changes at that time I will try to update this post.
Minutes DMPOA Quarterly Meeting February 8, 2020
Call to Order 10:00 am
15 in attendance including board members.
Explanation of changes to board since September.
Pat Harris brought back as Interim President (Sandra Nall stepped down)
Al Herriage brought back as Interim VP (Carl was not eligible – elected 9/2019)
Reading of the minutes of September 7, 2019
Kerri Navarro, Secretary gave a reading of the minutes from the September 7, 2020, meeting which was approved and seconded.
Treasurer’s Report
Dennis gave over view of how we are tracking information and getting our balances. Kerri stated that current bank balance was $8258.00
It was asked that treasure has YTD income and expense comparisons for the next meeting. Dennis to provide. We will be getting an online quickbooks account so both the treasurer and secretary have access at the same time.
Reports of Committees
Sickness & Distress Mrs. Lee was not present, Mr. Lee has been in the hospital and has pneumonia. Mr. Kean has passed away, his wife is doing well.
Architectural Control, Al Herriage discussed some of the past items have been completed and approved, we are working on taking care of some of the other past issues. One property owner that has been an ongoing issue, we are trying to get him to sit with the board to discuss the issues so far he has not agreed, board researching our options on his property. House next to Pat had problems, we were able to stop them as they were not going by the bylaws. Now lot is up for sale.
Unfinished Business
Robert Thornburg has taken over the Deer Meadows website. Input and suggestions are welcome. He is determining what types of upgrades are available and will give suggestions to board.
Al getting quotes on pool liner repairs or replacement.
New Business
Fireworks being used brought up- This is a civil matter, POA can’t really do anything regarding this.
Spanish assistance when needed: Lucy Crutchfield or Kerri Navarro’s spouses can assist when needed.
Mailboxes: New section of mailboxes have been added of which 11 are still not used. We may need more large boxes for packages. (discussed maybe putting under existing mailboxes or replace some of the current boxes).
Discussed potential dues increase- would need 51% approval-will be difficult to pass.
Board to check into if we qualify as a Master Planned Community.
Discussed charging for annual permits for Golf Carts,ATV’s etc. We will check into.
Mark Doan- getting costs for a possible Dog Park at the community center.
Dogs not on leash- remind to contact Comal County-Pat Machuca 830-387-7439.

I have a question
our neighbors just got an old shed an put it 2 feet from my fence, my husband called Architectural Mark Doan (415) 465-3506 to ask if that is against the law, he went to visits our neighbor and notified him, that that’s unacceptable, that they need to moved that shed, but nothing has been done. I will like to know if somebody can help me with this issue. It’s not a pleasant view from my back yard. (besides the roof is falling apart and all the shingles are falling in my back yard)
